Class 4 was so excited for our first day of outside play in the snow! We did our best putting all our snow gear on correctly by ourselves and did a great job. We had so much fun playing together, and it was nice run around outside in the fresh winter air. We went sledding and had a great time making all sorts of things with the snow. After getting some exercise outside, we were ready to do a number print. We impressed our teachers by writing numbers all the way to 50–wow! Today Class 4 also received a special surprise from IYK-kun for doing such an amazing job in their English Activity yesterday. He sent them super cool medals so they can get special stickers when they complete his special challenges. Class 4 did a fabulous job today and had lots of fun. We are so excited to see what the next challenge from IYK-kun will be!

今日の年長組は幼稚園最後の体育教室でした。まずは、準備体操をした後、兎跳びやライオン歩きなど、今まで何度も行った基本的な動きで体をほぐしました。その後は、鉄棒や跳び箱を行いました。「小学校に行って体育が楽しくできるように」と願いを込めて上手にできるコツをたくさん教えてくれたゆうか先生。お子さま達もその願いに応えるべく、真剣な表情で取り組んでいましたよ。今日が最後の体育教室であることを知ると、「ゆうか先生に会えないの寂しい！」「もっと体育教室したかった」と寂しそうなお子さま達。最後に記念撮影をした後、今までの感謝の気持ちを込めて大きな声でお礼を伝えました。ゆうか先生、お世話になりました。

Class 3 friends had a fun day today. Today there was a special meeting for the parents, so the whole kindergarten got to play together. It was wonderful to see children from all classes playing together and interacting with each other. Class 3 friends did origami, had spinning top battles, did jump rope and lots of other fun activities. After we cleaned up, we got today’s stickers for our sticker books. We had a yummy packed lunch, then went back to our classroom to do body measurement. We were pleased to see how much everyone had grown since the start of the 2nd term! As the day was winding down, we found a letter from Mr. Zookeeper, who invited us to his zoo and gave us zoo tickets. We can’t wait to check it out on Monday! Have a great weekend, and see you soon!

今日は３学期の始業式が行われました。副園長先生からのお話で、３つのお約束をしました。一つ目は、冬支度はスノーウエアの着脱にブーツカバーや手袋の装着など難しい作業がたくさんありますが、まずは自分でやってみようとするなど自分でできることに挑戦してみること。二つ目は、たくさん食べてたくさん運動してたくさん寝ることで風邪をひかない健康な体を作ること。三つ目は、友達や先生、周りの人に自分から元気よく挨拶をすることです！３学期は短いですが、北風公園で雪遊びをしたり、楽しいことがたくさん待っています。来年度の進級に向けて、お子さま達が自信をもって様々な活動に取り組むことができるようサポートしてまいります。
