Today was the first ICEC of the year. It was held at the Maruyama Zoo and the topic was about animals. This included things such as names of baby animals, animals sounds and how to talk about animals to your children. First we had self-introduction time and this was followed by a quick tour around the zoo with a special animal quiz. It was very impressive to see all the parents converse in English positively with great attitudes. A lot of new vocabulary and phrases could be learnt as well as noticing the difference between Japanese and English. Japanese seems to have a lot more words for animals sounds than English. Once again we would like to extend a warm thank-you to all the parents that came today and we hope that you will come to the next ICEC
