いよいよ2学期の最終日を迎えました。毎年11月のカレンダーをめくり、12月に入る時には、「もう一年が終わる、早いね。」と誰もが思います。時間の流れがもし目に見えたら、きっと滝の流れのように、一分一秒と時間は流れていて、私達はそこにかろうじて立っている状態なのかもしれません。

　お子さま達は、そんな時の流れを楽しみ、「早く、クリスマスにならないかな。」「冬休み、お出かけするんだよ！早く行きたいな。」と年末年始のイベントに期待を抱いております。何かと気ぜわしい年末を迎える月ですが、どうぞご家族の皆さまで、健康・安全な生活をお送り下さい。

　そして、今年も園の教育を進める上で、ご父母さまの温かいご支援とご協力をいただきましたことに、心から感謝申し上げます。

　元号が「平成」から「令和」に変わった2019年は、「幼児教育の無償化」が始まり、改めて「幼児教育」の必要性と重要性が問われた年でありました。特に今は、「非認知能力」の重要性が注目され、「遊びこむ」ことや「遊びの中からの学び」に焦点が当てられ、子どもの自主性が尊重されています。

　一方で、OECDが世界の15歳を対象に科学と数学、読解力を測定するために行っている「国際学力調査（PISA）」の結果が先日発表され、科学と数学はトップレベルだけれども、順位は年々下がっており、また読解力については、著しく低下している、という結果が出ました。

　もちろん、この調査の結果がすべてではありませんが、学力の基礎が培われる幼稚園教育においては、教育の場がただ遊びの場にならないよう、遊びから何を学び、その学びからどう成長していくか、すべての活動がしっかりカリキュラムだてされている必要があります。そして幼稚園教育は常に、計画、実行、評価、改善されていくことが大切です。

　また菅原孝悦園長先生は、以前から「結果が出なければ教育ではない」とう大命題を上げられています。結果を出すには教育技術が必要です。「よい先生」とは教育のプロとしての教育職人で、子どもをよく知り、どう伸ばすかの方法を豊富にもち、教材を有効に使い、確実に身に付いたかどうか、評価できる冷静で客観的な知性をもっている先生です。

　本園にお子さまを通わされているご父母の皆さまは、教育への関心が高く、「よりよい先生」そして「レベルの高い教育」を求められています。教員である私達はそのご期待にお応えすべく、「レベルの高い教育」をモットーに頑張り続けなければいけないと日々感じております。

　ご父母さまにおかれましては、幼稚園評価のアンケートにご協力いただき、ありがとうございました。そしてたくさんの貴重なご意見をいただきありがとうございました。アンケートの結果は年明けにお知らせしますが、ご父母さまの期待を受け止め、園の体制を整えてまいります。

　最後になりましたが、今年も一年、大変お世話になりました。ご家族おそろいで、笑顔溢れる新年をお迎え下さい。3学期もどうぞ宜しくお願いいたします。

As the year comes to a close and one looks at the calendar it feels like time has progressed quickly. Time flows like a waterfall and as every second and minute passes we flow wit it. Children also enjoy the flow of the time and says things like “I hope it will be Christmas soon” and “I want it to be Winter Vacation so I can go out”. Please enjoy of the year with your family and thank you for all your support this year.
This year we have seen the change from Heisei to Reiwa and subsidies for child education fees, as well as realizing the importance of childhood education. We have also seen the importance of learning through playing.

Recently in the OECD a survey was conducted known as PISA to evaluate the educational levels of 15-year olds. The results showed that Japanese students were top class in Science and Math, however they had low levels in reading comprehension.
Of course, these results aren’t everything, however as an educational facility where children have fun playing, learn something from playing and develop from this it is important to taker note of it. Sugawara Kohetsu has always said that “If there is no results, it is not education”. A good teacher provides results through knowing their students and by finding ways to develop them.

All parents who send their children to this Kindergarten have high expectations on education and these are felt by the teachers every day. As teachers we use this as motivation and as out motto of providing high quality education.
