English Recital Contest

Here at IYK we hold a yearly recital contest. Children who enter record an English story, nursery rhyme or short speech at home. The overseas teachers then judge the recordings after which we hold a prize ceremony. It is a great opportunity to practice English at home and gain confidence.

　IYKでは、毎年English Recital Contestが開かれます。English Recital Contestは2部門あり、一つは課題文として、文の短い詩を覚え、それを発表します。自由課題としてはお子さまが作ったショートスピーチを発表する、というものです。IYKの外国籍教員が審査員になり、各家庭で録音された詩やショートスピーチを審査し、各部門上位三名に賞が与えられ、受賞者は園児たちの前で発表をします。ご家庭で英語の練習をし、お子さまの自信につながるイベントです。

Speaking Contest

Near the end of the school year we hold our yearly speaking contest. Children take part in a fun activity based 'Speaking test' and a short 'Listening test'. Children are judged on their intonation, pronunciation, communication ability, use of full sentences, effort and comprehension. It is an exciting, stress-free day with a big prize giving ceremony at the end.

IYKでは、毎年2月にSpeaking Contestが開かれます。お子さま達は一つアイテムを持参し、それについてジャッジ(外国籍教員)と英語で話をするSpeaking testと、Listening testの二つがあり、その合計得点で賞が与えられます。
